This trip without doubt has already been one of my most cherrished moments of this year. My best friends and I decided to hire a car and go on a long drive all the way up to Scotland! I for one had already seen Edinburgh before with my mom so it wasnt the place that made it special but the people I travelled with. I had never gone on a trip with just my friends before and this was one of the best experiances I have had so far. You'd think you'd get sick of being cooped up in a tiny car for hours together but I can assure you that with the right people, it is THE best!
Since we had all finished our last submission for the year, we decided to get away. The funniest part about this was that, it was truly a yolo trip. My friend the before said "Hey, we're off to Edinburgh as we have some work and have three spare seats in our car. Lets go!" So the three off us said "Aright, lets go! We hadn't booked our accomadation or decided on what we were actually going to do there. We started at 6pm on Sunday with the assuption that it would be a good 6-7 hour road trip. However, to our surpirse it took us 12 hours! We reached Edinburgh at 7am the next day.
Our GPS decided to take us on a route away from the motorway so we ended up driving through all the little cities and town. None of us complained as our view throughout was absolute magnificence. The true Scottish nature view.
When the boys went off to do their work they were there to do, the three of us girls decided to go explore Edinburgh. We hopped into a Taxi and told him to take us somewhere with a nice view and some food we can grap. He took us to Ocean Drive mall, where teenagers being typical teenagers, we ordered some pizza at Pizza express. The view from the restraunt was incredible and the food was devine even though it was just another pizza.
We were quite fascinated by the Scottish notes, so I had to include a picture of it here.
It was one amazing trip to end the first year or University. I have made some amazing friends and sadly since some of them were there only for a year, I wont be spending the remining two with them however, I feel like the luckiest human to have met such amzing friends and cant wait to go back to Nottingham Trent with these two beauties for two more crazy and fun filled years.
Love,
Sanj
