Headlock Vintage Fair

I have always heard such wonderful things about vintage fairs but unfortunately never been to one before. Today my friend who is studying her post grad in broadcast journalism wanted a few video clips for an assignment and asked me to help her out. Since it was fashion related, I immediately jumped at the opportunity. The vintage fair happened to be set up at our very own Nottingham Trent students union building. Walking in I was quite impressed with the set up of everything and especially the affordability of all the products displayed. Variety of clothes from scarfs, caps to jumpers and denim was out for sales. I've always heard about the extremes of Levi vintage clothing but never realised how big the piles of products there was.

Since I was with my friend who was interviewing the man that started business, I got to have a little chat with them too. He has been running headlock vintage for almost 8 years now. Vintage clothes are shipped to him from around the world and he sorts through them deciding on a 'charity pile' and a 'sale pile'. Travelling through England, he sells them at different events, fairs, and Universities. He has his own online e-commerce site, where people can order from. He has also set up a boutique on ASOS's marketplace. I asked him more details about how he got started and what he did to sell products on ASOS and it was very interesting to have a conversation with someone thats in this buissness. He was kind enough to give us both two 50% discount coupons too.

If you'd like to know more about Headlock Vintage, check out their website and their ASOS marketplace http://www.headlockvintage.co.ukhttps://marketplace.asos.com/boutique/headlock-vintage
