15 Book Covers Goal

They say that best friends are hard to find, that's because I've got her!

I met my bestest chummy, Erin (10 points if you know where that reference is from) at the start of my college year. We spent practically every minute together, either in class, each others house or on the phone. We went to an iPad launch together once, which was right after halloween night. Since we wanted to be the first in line, we decided to stay up all night so we don't miss it. Of course we were first in line and I was the first to get my hands on the new iPad Air. After all the hurrays and jumping about buying the new iPad, we stood outside the apple store for about 2 minutes looking at the time in silence because we were shocked. We realised that we did not stop talking for 19 hours. Yup, I kid you not, without a break for 19 hours! I knew right then that she would be a big part of my life.

This is one of my all time favourite photo of the two of us.  We went to Chelsea in London as we are both obsessed with the TV show Made in Chelsea. It was a big day for us, as we got to see all the spots they filmed at.  I remember laughing so hard I was crying the entire day for no reason what so ever.

She is one of the most lovely, kind, funny, trustworthy person but along with being all these amazing things she is also a model. Why wouldn't she be? She is stunning!  She is a book cover model and is on numerous book covers. I still remember the first day we found out she was on a book cover. She rang me, late at night, screaming for what seemed like 10 minutes and revealed that its official. She's on her first 'official' book cover. I remember the phrase 'official book' and 'officially a model' being used countless times during our conversation.

Around September when we all went back to college, she was on her 9th book cover. Which was insane! Obviously I expected big things for her modelling career but within about 6 months she had 9 book covers! I set her a challenge to make a goal — 'by the end of 2014 you better be on 15 book covers'. Even though it was completely out her control as to when she's on one, she accepted it.

As you can imagine over the next few months the screaming phone calls returned ever time she was on a new book. I am proud to announce that my best friend is not only on 15 book covers but 17 and counting. I am so happy for you, E.

Here are a few of my favourite book covers of Erin Parkes.

This is the first book cover

Mills and Boon, it doesn't get any better than that

And this ladies and gentlemen is her 17th book cover. Yay!

This blog post is of course dedicated to Erin.

Congratulations on achieving your goal and your success, E. I am forever proud. I hope the new year brings you a lot more book covers and other modelling opportunities.
Lots of love, Mwah!
