Homemade Cookies

Hello lovelies,
How are you? I hope you're all having an amazing time this holiday season and I hope you had the best Christmas. Did Santa bring everything you asked for? I sure got spoilt rotten this year!

On boxing day I was catching up on all my favourite YouTubers vlogmas videos, where they vlog everyday of December till Christmas. I noticed that they were all baking some form of festive cookies. This obviously made me extremely jealous and hungry. I've always been into baking but I used to buy the ready to bake mix and pretend it was all my doing but really all I did was pour it into a bow and mix.  It might possibly run in my family as my father owns a bakery, my grandma is known for her excellence in baking and my cousins recently have been posting a lot of baked cakes and cookies photos on Facebook.

With all the inspirational photos and videos, I googled and YouTubed a few recipes and I decided to give it a try. This was really exciting because I had never baked anything from scratch.

I got all the ingredients out, poured it into a bowl and started mixing

I then rolled the cookie dough into little balls and popped it into the oven hoping for the best. (fingers and toes crossed)

Within 5 minutes the entire house smelt like a bakery so I ran to the kitchen and to my surprise, these actually worked! Huzzah!

This was the final result and I am happy to report that my family and I loved the way it turned out, crusty on the outside gooey and chocolatey on the inside. Perfect combination in my opinion.

If you would like to try these out yourself, I used a mixture of recipes but here are my favourites.

Try these out yourself and let me know how it goes

  Love,
Sanjana
